I'm having a minor problem with jaws. For some reason it is not reading the combo boxes when I want to send private qn's. The only way I can tell who I'm sending the qn to is if I turn forms mode off and then check, but it won't read the names when I've got forms mode on and I'm trying to choose the person. Does anyone know how to fix this problem? By the way I'm using jaws 9.
Hi. I'm a JAWS 9 user as well. I've had this problem myself where the combo boxes don't display properly as well as this blimming edit box just now when I tried to send this post. My way of getting round that is to quit JAWS (insert/caps lock F4) then go straight in to the desktop with Windows M or Windows D then hit J for Jaws and enter on it if you have the desktop short cut or CTRL Alt J to start it again, then you should be good to go, every thing should be spoken when you restart JAWS. Don't ask me why JAWS does this thing with boxes in internet Exploder, I have no idea, lol.

Ok, I tried that, and that didn't help. Although I did realize that for some reason, it will only display correctly if I open the combo box with Alt down arrow. However, i never used to have to do this, so I wonder what the problem may be?
Try maximizing your screen. alt+space, then x.
Sometimes that won't work either. I tried that before I started quitting and restarting JAWS when I had this problem.
